What is Lariat.app?

Lariat.app is a timelining and narrative management application.  It ingests documents and user inputs, and creates graphics that summarize the documents in meaningful, clear ways.  More than that, just about every graphic in Lariat.app is also a UI element - so you can manipulate and edit the graphics and summaries. 

Where can I download Lariat.app?

As of October 2025, Lariat.app is still in development and production versions of the app won't be available for a few more months.  However, we are always looking for prospective users to help us beta-test the application.  If that sounds like something you're interested in, please reach out to us at info@lariat.app.   

Our newsletter will also have timely updates about our progress and the availability of production-level versions.

Is Lariat.app safe to use at my firm?

*First and foremost, you should consult with the IT professional at your law firm or place of business before downloading any piece of software, or using a personally-licensed software package for work tasks.*

With that said, we are developing the application to ensure adherence to an array of cybersecurity compliance standards.   We will ensure compliance with the applicable HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, and ISO standards (among others).

It's worth noting that (as of October 2025) the ABA has not issued its own cybersecurity compliance standard.  There are also regional variations in the rules of professional conduct for attorneys that may affect your ability to use forms of cloud computing that are permitted by the standards listed above.
